Focus
Tuner Families
Focus tuners can be computer controlled either via
USB or TCP/IP (iTuner) interface. All older models,
controlled via ISA or PCI cards from the PC can be
upgraded to USB or TCP/IP on request.
iTuner is a stand-alone tuner concept; it contains
its own micro-processor, firmware, memory and calibration
files. It can tune to an impedance and de-embed to
DUT reference plane; it can execute pre-programmed
tuning sessions; it understands TCP/IP transmitted
high level ASCII commands (MOVE, INIT, TUNETO and
more). iTuners work with LabView©, Vee©,
Visual Basic user designed software. All Focus tuner
families below are available either as USB or as iTuners.

Pre-Matching Tuner; cover 0.4 to 18GHz; use two
independent probes and allow highest VSWR between
100:1 and 250:1 in a certain area of the Smith
Chart, depending on the frequency. |

Synchronized Pre-matching Tuner; cover 0.8-50GHz;
use two probes that move simultaneously horizontally

distance between the probes can be adusted manually
to increase bandwidth. |

independent wideband probes; can be used as three
