Luglio 2009 - La SPIRENT presenta due nuovi simulatori multi costellazione GPS, GALILEO e GLONASS.

Le nuove piattaforme sostituiscono due prodotti di cui sarą sospesa la produzione in particolare:
  • GSS6300 singolo canale per la produzione, sostituisce il GSS6100
  • GSS6700 per il collaudo e qualificazione prodotti, sostituisce l'STR4500

I nuovi simulatori SPIRENT possono essere configurati con una o pił costellazioni e sono aggiornabili anche dopo il  loro acquisto direttamente dall'utilizzatore.



Le tecnologie relative alla navigazione e al posizionamento sono in forte espansione e sviluppo. Spirent offre una vasta gamma di soluzioni per il test di apparati che operano con segnali GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, space-based augmentation systems (SBAS), ground based augmentation systems (GBAS) ed altri sistemi emergenti.

I simulatori GNSS della Spirent rigenerano il segnale RF sulla base di scenari nei quali è possibile definire la posizione del ricevitore, l'ambiente elettromagnetico, il movimento e altri effetti variabili nel tempo. E' possibile pertanto ricreare situazioni altamente realistiche in breve tempo come ad esempio condizioni di basso segnale o di elevate dinamiche, condizioni di multipath e di interferenza consentendo di monitorare i ricevitori anche in condizioni avverse estreme e di errore.

I prodotti Spirent evitano la necessità di estensive prove sul campo e rappresentano strumenti accurati in grado di riprodurre condizioni controllabili e ripetibili. Tutti i sistemi di test del tipo GNSS beneficiano di oltre 20 anni di esperienza per soddisfare le aspettative di accuratezza e flessibilitą che i nostri clienti richiedono.

A-GPS Development

Spirent test systems for A-GPS development, range from provision of assistance data to the device under test through to integrated wireless network and GPS environment simulation with full conformance and performance test capabilities. Spirent also offers production test systems for A-GPS devices. Testing can simulate both UE-Based and UE-Assisted operating modes and synchronization to other systems such as network location servers. Conformance testing is often in accordance with standards from organizations such as 3GPP (IS-916), the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) and leading carriers.
